Olympus OMD EM5 Mark II Universal Review

Review and Body Design:

The Olympus OMD EM5 Mark II is featuring 16 mega pixels compact mirrorless camera designed at enthusiasts. It was launched in February 2015; it's the descendant to the original OMD EM5 and is the fourth model in the OMD chain. Two standard body colors are offered: either black or silver. OMD cameras are based on the traditional Micro Four Thirds standard, providing access to the broadest series of native lenses of any mirrorless system; it has the same OMDs features like an electronic viewfinder and built-in image stabilization that works with any lens you connect. Olympus has enhanced the reaction time of the 5-axis image stabilization system. The movie mode is significantly improved with a tilting LCD. The EM5 Mark II looks a lot like its predecessor, but feels fairly different in the hands. The clone control dials have also been thickened and repositioned to easily turn either even when holding the camera one-handed.

Image Quality:
The Olympus E-M5 Mark II features a 16-megapixel High-Speed Live MOS Sensor with enhanced performance and brilliant clarity. Olympus' TruePic VII image-processing engine improves image quality in low-light surrounding. The camera's sensor allows a maximum ISO of 25,600, and the dynamic range has been extended for more color reproduction. The ultra-sensitive 5-axis Voice Coil Motor works for updated sensors for full 5 spotlight steps of compensation. The E-M5 Mark II gives sharp, clear still images in low light or stable video when recording videos.

The camera has an electronic viewfinder. The electronic viewfinder has an eye sensor to seamlessly toggle the display between the oriented 3.0" touch screen OLED. Camera settings like shutter speed, is displayed at the bottom of the viewfinder so photographers can focus on framing shots and take full benefit. An Electronic View Finder has an ability to show the effects of different disclosure adjustments. This all can be done without moving the eye away from the viewfinder.

Video Quality:

Olympus has integrated an odd combination of beginner-friendly features that seem more suitable for someone who's really going to take their time over their video recording. The E-M5 II can shoot in a bright resolution-enhancing mode which produces 40-megapixel (39.9MP) JPEGs or 64-megapixel (63.7MP) raw files. The most clear video-friendly additions are the additions of flip-out screen and a better version of the 5-axis image stabilization. It is easy to record good quality 1080 video recording if you have efficient image stabilization. The most recent model can record 1080p video at up to 60 fps with bitrates of up to 52Mbps using IPB compression. On the other hand, it can shoot 24p/25p or 30p footage at up to 77Mbps using All-I compression. The E-M5 II also gains a microphone socket, which can be adjusted while recording. The microphone settings let you specify separate recording volumes for internal and external microphones.
