Sony alpha 7 II Reviews
Introduction to Sony Alpha 7 II:
The Sony Alpha a7 II is an image stabilized
full-frame mirror less camera it’s the fourth release in Sony's A7 lineup. It
is 24.3 megapixels like its predecessor. It has the same Bionz X processor as the other A7 series and a remarkable technical
success with their 5-axis image
stabilization. The Image Stabilization system in the a7 II works by
adjusting for actions along 5 different axes; X and Y as well as pitch yaw and
roll. The Sony A7 II is a more developed, better-rounded
camera and an even more attractive option for those who want full-frame
image quality. A7 II has the same 3”
tilting LCD as its predecessor with 1.23 million dots and has an electronic
viewfinder which remains untouched.
The Sony A7
II was launched in December 2014 in
two arrangements: body-only or bundled with the FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens.
Body material and Design:
The body
construction is a full two-part magnesium alloy
shell and that is dust and moisture
resistant, including weather seals on buttons. The lens mount of A7 II is
also improved by using magnesium alloy to increase the strength and strictness that is very helpful, when using heavier
and longer lenses.
Video Features:
Shooting video with the a7 II is very easy. By
default, the camera is set to record whenever the red record button is implemented, in spite of your mode and
switching from stills to video is simple. The a7 II is the second full frame Sony A series camera to offer XAVC S, previously it only
originated in the video-centric a7S. SDXC
memory cards are mandatory to shoot XAVC
S format video. The a7 II will also
record in the AVCHD and MP4 formats. Before selecting the
codec to record video make sure you are using the right one before using the
editing program. You can choose a variety of manual and automatic shooting
modes to record video. The tilting LCD
is also very helpful for video recording; just make sure to switch off the eye
sensor, so that the a7 II uses only the LCD.
Image Quality:
The Sony a7 II is a 24.3 MP full frame
mirror less camera with 5-axis image
stabilization. The IS system in the
a7 II is very good. It has more improved AF
system than its predecessor. A7 and A7 II have the same number of phase
detect points 119 in total. That is
119 still more then the A7S or the A7R. A7 II has fast Hybrid AF system
with the combination of 117 on sensor detect points and 25 contrasts detect points. This allows up to 5fps burst shooting with nonstop autofocus. The A7 II features
both Wi-Fi and NFC wireless connectivity which allows for both wireless
transfer of images and remote control shooting. FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS zoom lens was manufactured specially to
mount with this Sony A7 II.
